Notes

Key Characteristics

  • Low, shrub, up to 0.5 meters high, straggly, open-growing, clone-forming
  • Leaves alternate, simple, small and pointed at both ends, distinctly but very serrulate with bristle-pointed teeth, thin, bright green, petioles very short
  • Twigs very slender, yellowish green, grooved above the buds or angular
  • Winter buds small, ovoid or oblong, glabrous
  • Shade tolerant and prefers dry sandy sites (corymbosum prefers wet)
  • Fruit are blueberries
