Key Characteristics

  • Leaves with flattened petioles, tremble in slightest breeze; many fine teeth, about 30 per side
  • Bark smooth, creamy white to yellowish green
  • Grows in clones of many genetically identical stems, with similar leaf morphology, stem and crown form, flushing time, and fall coloration
