Key Characteristics
- Leaves opposite, 5-lobed, the sinuses broad and rounded at the bases; end lobe almost square with entire, nearly parallel sides
- Terminal bud sharp-pointed, conical
- Fruit a samara, borne in pairs on a long pedicel; wings parallel or slightly diverging
