  • Leaves opposite; leaf blades large, with 3 lobes, the side lobes drooping giving a wilted appearance; the sinuses broad and rounded
  • Pubescent on the leaf underside and petiole
  • Stipules at the base of the petiole
  • Bark black, corrugated in long, narrow ridges
